Why did you start food blogging?

I grew up in the DC area and have lived here my whole life. I started food blogging because of the great food culture here and my love for takeout food. DC has an amazing food scene with every type of cuisine you could think of! One thing that makes the DC food scene so great is outside of the amazing restaurants, there are also a lot of food truck options. Prior to Covid-19, 900 food trucks used to come into DC during peak season (Reported by WTOP).

What are some of your favorite restaurants in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia)?

Sushi - Sushi Ogawa and Raku
Pizza - Andy’s Pizza and IL Canale
Chicken Sandwiches - Roaming Rooster
Peruvian Food: Pisco Y Nazca
Quesadillas - Surfside (The Dupont location is opened 24 hours a day) 
Chicken Shawarma Wrap: Charcoal Kabob
Cupcakes - Baked and Wired

What is your favorite food truck?

Pho Wheels! They have the best pork belly tacos in DC.

What’s an upscale restaurant you want to try in DC?

Minibar without question. I haven’t been to a 2 star Michelin Star restaurant before and the only other ones that’s in DC are Pineapple and Pearls and Jont. Minibar would be a great one to add to my food resume!

What do you want to accomplish with your blog?

With so many good restaurants out there, the goal of my page is to highlight local businesses and give the best restaurant recommendations in the DC area!
